Arvind Kejriwal: A day after Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal came out of Tihar jail on bail, the Aam Aadmi Party said on Saturday that he will continue to work as before and no work of the people of Delhi will be affected. The Supreme Court had on Friday granted bail to AAP national convenor Kejriwal in the corruption case registered by the CBI in connection with the alleged excise policy scam. However, it had set some conditions, saying Kejriwal cannot visit his office or the Delhi Secretariat or sign any official file unless it is absolutely necessary to do so to get the approval of the Lieutenant Governor.

Sanjay Singh targets Amit Shah.

AAP leader and Rajya Sabha member Sanjay Singh attacked Union Home Minister Amit Shah at a press conference in Delhi and said that the BJP leader should resign for sending Kejriwal to jail in a fake case. He alleged that the BJP is spreading lies that Kejriwal cannot sign files or work as a Chief Minister. Singh said that the people of Delhi will make the BJP forfeit its deposit in the upcoming assembly elections for shamelessly spreading this lie. He said that Chief Minister Kejriwal does not have any department and the concerned ministers sign files of their respective departments.

Signature on files to be sent to the Governor

The AAP leader said, Kejriwal only signs those files that have to be sent for the approval of the Lieutenant Governor. The Supreme Court has not stopped him from signing files that are sent to the Lieutenant Governor for approval. Therefore, Kejriwal as Chief Minister will continue to work and fight for the people of Delhi 100 percent as he did in his previous tenure. He said that the Supreme Court has neither stopped the Delhi government nor the Chief Minister from working and no work of the people will stop. The AAP leader said that Kejriwal has the right to sign all the important files that need the approval of the Lieutenant Governor.

Said, Kejriwal did a great job.

He said that as the Chief Minister of Delhi, Kejriwal has done excellent work in the fields of health, education, water, and electricity and he will continue to do so in the future. Singh said, the issue now is to implement the schemes at the ground level. After Chief Minister Kejriwal comes out (from jail), the Delhi government will work efficiently. Targeting the BJP and the Union Home Minister, he claimed that the Supreme Court order has demolished the bundle of lies created on the fake excise policy case.

Singh said, "Shah is the real culprit behind Kejriwal's imprisonment. A home minister who topples governments, sends chief ministers to jail, and breaks political parties has no moral right to continue in his post." The BJP has demanded that Kejriwal should resign from the post of Delhi Chief Minister as he cannot work in this post due to his bail conditions.
