MP Education News : Madhya Pradesh School Education Department has taken a new initiative with the aim of holistic development of students from classes 6th to 8th. Now "Bagless Day" will be organized in the state schools on at least one Saturday every month. The State Education Center has issued instructions to all the District Education Officers and District Project Coordinators to ensure the arrangement of Bagless Day in their respective areas. Children's skills will also be enhanced with various activities on Bagless Day. Apart from studies, various cultural, literary, and practical activities will be conducted among the students.

The Bagless Day initiative is being taken as per the National Education Policy-2020, so that children can become familiar with 21st-century skills. Apart from this, Indian knowledge tradition and environmental awareness can also be promoted among children. Its objective is to prepare students as successful, innovative, and responsible citizens. Along with this, scientific attitude, evidence-based thinking, and creativity are to be developed in the students.

According to the guidelines issued by the State Education Center, on this day, students will get a chance to participate in activities like folk songs-dances, short plays, poetry recitation, story writing activities etc. Apart from this, sessions will be organized to give information to the students , about modern methods of farming like poly farming, organic farming and medicinal plants. Along with this, tours will be conducted to local industries, h,istorical places, and government offices like banks, police station, hospital and grain market.
