Mahayuti Meeting called off: The Mahayuti meeting scheduled to be held in Mumbai on Friday has been canceled. Acting Chief Minister Eknath Shinde suddenly left for his village in Satara district. It is understood that the meeting was to discuss the ministers joining the government and their departments, but due to Shinde's absence, the meeting had to be postponed. Let us tell you that on Thursday night, Shinde, Devendra Fadnavis, and Ajit Pawar had a marathon meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah and BJP President JP Nadda in Delhi. On Friday morning, all three leaders left for Mumbai from Delhi. But Shinde's going to his village instead of the proposed meeting of Mahayuti is giving rise to many speculations.

Spoke to reporters before leaving for Mumbai

Earlier, Shinde said on Friday that he had a "good and positive" discussion with Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) chief J.P. Nadda on the issue of government formation in the state. Shinde told reporters here before leaving for Mumbai that the decision on the next chief minister of Maharashtra will be taken "in a day or two" at another meeting of the Mahayuti alliance in the state capital. Shinde, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis and Ajit Pawar met Shah and Nadda here on Thursday night to discuss the power-sharing agreement in the state.

We will form the government soon: Shinde

The outgoing chief minister said, "We will take a decision (on Maharashtra chief minister) in a day or two. We have had discussions and it will continue. You will get to know when we make a final decision." Shinde said he would not be an obstacle in government formation in the state and would abide by the decision taken by Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Shah. "The status of 'ladka bhau' (dear brother) is above anything else for me," he said. Shinde said the meeting was "good and positive". "We all discussed government formation. There is good coordination among the allies, we are all very positive and we will respect the clear mandate given by the people. We will form the government soon," he said.
