Maharashtra, Jharkhand Election Date: The dates for the Maharashtra and Jharkhand assembly elections have been announced. The Election Commission announced the election schedule through a press conference on Tuesday. Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said that elections will be held in Maharashtra in a single phase. Voting will take place here on November 20 and counting will take place on November 23. On the other hand, elections will be held in two phases in Jharkhand. Voting will take place here in the first phase on November 13 and in the second phase on November 20. The results will come on November 23.
Maharashtra Assembly election schedule
Chief Election Commissioner Rajiv Kumar said that this time 9 crore 63 lakh voters will vote in 288 assembly seats of Maharashtra. Out of these, 5 crore will be male voters. He said, one lakh polling booths will be set up for voting in the state.

Jharkhand assembly election schedule
There are 2 crore 60 lakh voters in Jharkhand. Out of these, 1 crore 31 lakh are male voters and 1 crore 29 lakh are female voters. The Election Commissioner said that voting will take place at 29 thousand 562 booths in Jharkhand.

By-election dates were also announced
The Election Commission has announced the dates of by-elections along with the dates of assembly elections in Maharashtra and Jharkhand. Apart from 47 assembly seats across the country, voting will be held on November 13 in the Wayanad Lok Sabha seat of Kerala. Voting will be held on November 20 in the Kedarnath assembly seat of Uttarakhand, while voting will be held on the same day in the Nanded Lok Sabha seat of Maharashtra. The results will be declared on November 23.
