Bangladesh's experienced all-rounder Mahmadullah announced his retirement from T20 Internationals on Tuesday and the third and final match of the current series against India will be his last match in this format. The last match of the three-match series between India and Bangladesh will be played in Hyderabad on Saturday. He was disappointed with the bat in the first match. Mahmudullah said here on the eve of the second T20 International against India, "Yes, I am retiring from T20 after the last match of this series. It was already decided." He said, "This is the right time to move on from this format and focus on ODIs." The 38-year-old has played 50 Tests, 232 ODIs, and 139 T20 Internationals for Bangladesh after making his debut in 2007. The former Bangladesh T20 captain said goodbye to his Test career in 2021.
