Mangaluru News : In the Pakshikere area of Mulki police station area of Mangaluru, a young man allegedly stabbed his wife and four-year-old son to death and then committed suicide by jumping in front of a train. Mangaluru Police Commissioner Anupam Agarwal said that the police got information about the incident this afternoon, after which a case has been registered and investigation has been started.
Committed suicide by jumping in front of a train
According to police, Kartik Bhatt (32) committed suicide by jumping in front of a moving train near Kalapur railway station under Mulki police station on November 8 at 12:40 pm. Police said the body could not be identified initially as it was badly mutilated and no identity card or other documents were found at the scene.
Police disclosed the matter.
He said that while searching the crime scene this morning, the police found the key to a motorcycle. The police suspected that the key could be of Karthik's motorcycle which he might have parked near the crime scene. The police started searching in the surrounding area and in the afternoon, the police found a vehicle in which the key was found, after which the registration details of that vehicle were found and the photo of the deceased matched with the face of the deceased. He said that the RC revealed his house address.
Wife and child killed
Police said that when the police investigated at his address in Pakshikere this evening, the bodies of his wife and son were found with stab wounds. He said that a sari was also tied to the ceiling fan in one of the rooms, which suggests that someone may have attempted suicide in the room.
During the police investigation, a suicide note was found at the scene in which Karthik has confessed to killing his wife and son and then committing suicide. The police have registered a case based on the complaint of other family members and started an investigation but till now the reason behind the incident is not known.
