On receiving his fourth National Award, Manoj Bajpayee said, 'See, when I received it 3 times, my reaction was the same. I am feeling the same for the fourth time as well. I always say that when I was doing theatre in my life, I used to say that if I got it once, my life would be blessed. Today, by the grace of God, I have received it for the fourth time for 'Gulmohar'. I consider myself a very lucky artist at this time, who has received the National Award for the fourth time. The matter of happiness for me is that my wife was present when I received the National Award for the fourth time. She was not there in the last 3 times, but she has come for the fourth time, so you can understand how important this is for us.'

Let us tell you that before getting the National Award for the fourth time for 'Gulmohar', Manoj Bajpayee got it for the first time for the film 'Satya' (1999), the second time for 'Pinjar' (2004) and third time for 'Bhonsle' (2021). Directed by Rahul V. Chittela, the film 'Gulmohar' featured many actors including Sharmila Tagore, Simran, Suraj Sharma, and Amol Palekar in lead roles.
