Copra MSP Hike: Modi government has taken a big decision for coconut farmers. The cabinet has approved the increase in MSP of milling copra. Giving this information, Information and Broadcasting Minister Ashwini Vaishnav said that the Union Cabinet has approved increasing the minimum support price of milling copra to Rs 11,582 per quintal. At the same time, the price for ball copra has been fixed at Rs 12,100 per quintal.

Union Minister Ashwini Vaishnaw said- "Many decisions have been taken for the welfare of farmers. This shows our commitment, the Prime Minister's commitment towards improving the lives of farmers... Karnataka has the highest share in copra production in our country. ... NAFED and NCCF will both be the central nodal agencies for the purchase of copra and apart from this, the state governments will have a big role in it, so this purchase will be done in collaboration with state government corporations.
