There is a ruckus in MVM after the defeat in Maharashtra. The parties are attacking each other. Shiv Sena Uddhav faction leader Aditya Thackeray cornered Akhilesh Yadav's party Samajwadi Party and said that Maharashtra SP works like BJP's B team.
Why did Aditya Thackeray say this?
Aditya Thackeray's remarks came at a time when the Akhilesh Yadav-led party had spoken of quitting the MVA over a social media post by an aide of Uddhav Thackeray praising the demolition of the Babri Masjid in 1992. Thackeray told reporters, "Sometimes the state unit of the SP acts like the BJP's B team. (SP national chief) Akhilesh Yadavji is fighting (against the BJP). But don't ask me to say whom the state SP helped in the recent (assembly) elections."
What did Abu Azmi say
On Saturday, SP's Maharashtra unit chief Abu Azmi had targeted the Shiv Sena (Ubatha) over a newspaper advertisement on the demolition of the Babri Masjid and a related post on Member of Legislative Council (MLC) Milind Narvekar's 'X'. "If anyone in the Maha Vikas Aghadi speaks such language, what is the difference between the BJP and them? Why should we stay with them?" Azmi had asked.
Aditya Thackeray hits back
Countering this, Thackeray on Sunday said his party's Hindutva is all-inclusive. "The BJP talks of 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas', while we do it on the ground. Uddhav Thackeray takes everyone along and the people of Maharashtra have seen this," said Thackeray, an MLA from Worli and a former state minister.
