Monaco: Star Indian javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra is among 23 athletes whose competition artifacts have been included in the World Athletics Heritage Collection currently on display on the online 3D platform of the Museum of World Athletics (MoWA).

Chopra, who became India's first Olympic gold medallist in athletics at the Tokyo Olympics 2021, has donated the competition T-shirt he wore at the Paris Games this year. Chopra had finished second at the Paris Olympics with a throw of 89.45m behind Pakistan's Arshad Nadeem (92.97m).

Apart from Chopra, Ukraine's Yaroslava Mahuchikh (World Athletics' female 'Field Event Athlete of the Year') and her fellow Paris Olympic medallist Thea Lafond are among the athletes whose competition artifacts have been included in the legacy collection. World Athletics president Sebastian Coe praised the athletes for donating their competition gear and medals.
