Babar Azam or Virat Kohli, who is the best batsman? This question is quite old but whenever it is discussed, there is always passion among the fans. Now this question has been answered by former Pakistan captain Sidra Nawaz. Sidra Nawaz told IANS, "I like both, but personally I choose Virat Kohli."
Virat Kohli has cemented his legacy as perhaps one of the greatest batsmen in the history of the game. His performances across all three formats, from ICC events to ODIs, have been commendable. Kohli's most successful format has been ODIs as he has scored 13,906 runs in 295 matches.
Before April 2021, Virat Kohli had spent 1258 days as the number one ranked ODI batsman in the world. Babar was the next to hold this position but the Pakistan batsman, who recently stepped down from white-ball captaincy, was overtaken by Shubman Gill in 2023 but he regained his position in December 2023 and is still at the top of the ODI leaderboard.
Cricket fans all over the world are keeping an eye on the Women's T20 World Cup. India started the tournament with a crushing 58-run defeat at the hands of New Zealand and now the team's goal will be to make a comeback in its next match against Pakistan. On the other hand, Pakistan has registered a 31-run win over Sri Lanka in its first match. Sidra Nawaz Nawaz believes that even though the statistics are in India's favor in this match, Pakistan's rhythm can put Team India under pressure in the match.
Sidra further said, "If we look at the previous matches, India has won on most occasions, but in this World Cup, Pakistan made a strong start with a win over Sri Lanka. Hopefully, we will be successful in putting pressure on India."
