Demand For Office Space: Due to better demand in seven major cities of the country, the net demand for office space has increased by 14 percent on an annual basis during the July-September quarter. This information has been received from the data of real estate consultancy company JLL. According to the data, the net demand for office space in the September quarter was 1.21 crore square feet, whereas in the same period a year ago it was 1.07 crore square feet.
Net demand rises to 41.4 lakh sq ft.
Net demand is calculated by subtracting newly acquired space from vacant space. According to the data, net demand for office space in Bengaluru rose to 41.4 lakh sq ft during July-September from 23.8 lakh sq ft in the same period last year.
Net demand increased every year
Net demand in the first nine months of this year grew 19 percent year-on-year to 31 million sq ft. JLL India said, "The total net demand for India in January-September, 2024 is second only to the numbers for the same period in 2019 in the last decade."
