PAK vs ZIM 2nd ODI: Saim Ayub smashed a whirlwind century in his fifth match as Pakistan beat Zimbabwe by 10 wickets in the second ODI played at Queens Sports Club on Tuesday to level the three-match series 1-1. Ayub hit 17 fours and three sixes in his unbeaten innings of 113 runs off 62 balls as Pakistan achieved the target of 146 runs in 18.2 overs without losing any wickets. Saim completed his century in 53 balls with the help of 16 fours and three sixes, after which he became the joint third-fastest Pakistani century-maker after Shahid Afridi. Afridi had achieved this rare feat twice, against Sri Lanka in Nairobi in 1996 and then against India in Kanpur in 2005.

Ayub had earlier completed his half-century in 32 balls with the help of nine fours and a six and completely dominated in an unbroken partnership of 148 runs with Abdullah Shafiq. Shafiq returned unbeaten after scoring 32 runs in 48 balls with the help of four fours.

Pakistan displayed a superb batting display after opting to bat first and bowling out Zimbabwe for 145 in 32.3 overs. There wasn't much to offer in the batting department for Zimbabwe as only Dion Myers (33) and Sean Williams (31) were the Zimbabwean batsmen to make an impact on the scoreboard.

Debutant Abrar Ahmed, opening the bowling with Aamir Jamal, took figures of 4-33, while off-spinner Salman Ali Agha took three wickets for 26 runs. Ayub once again showed his bowling prowess and took one wicket for 16 runs in four overs. Zimbabwe won the first ODI by 80 runs via the DLS method. The series decider will be played at the same ground on Thursday.
