PM Modi Odisha Visit : Prime Minister Modi is on a visit to Odisha today and will launch several projects during this period. The Bharatiya Janata Party government of Odisha has made elaborate arrangements to welcome Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday. This is the Prime Minister's first visit to the state after attending the swearing-in ceremony of Chief Minister Mohan Charan Majhi on June 12. Prime Minister Modi will launch the state government's social welfare scheme (Subhadra Yojana) for women during this visit. The Prime Minister will also launch several infrastructure projects.

Officials said he would land at Biju Patnaik International Airport at 10.50 am and then go to Gadkana village where he would interact with beneficiaries of the Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He will then reach Janata Maidan at around noon where he will launch the Subhadra Yojana, they said. He will also launch railway projects worth Rs 2,871 crore and highway projects worth Rs 1,000 crore.

He said PM Modi will leave for Delhi at around 1.15 pm. Security has been beefed up in the state capital and 3,000 policemen, including 500 officers, have been deployed. Police Commissioner Sanjiv Panda said barricades have been put up on all the roads through which the Prime Minister will pass. He said a total of 11 Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP), 22 additional DCPs, 66 ACPs, 100 inspectors, and 300 other officers, including 81 platoons of security forces (30 personnel each) and 500 home guards will be deployed.
