New Delhi: Prime Minister Narendra Modi wrote a letter to the mother of Olympic medalist star javelin thrower Neeraj Chopra, saying that the churma made by him made him emotional and reminded him of his mother. In a letter to Saroj Devi, mother of Neeraj, who won gold at the Tokyo Olympics and silver in Paris, Prime Minister Modi said that he had the opportunity to meet Neeraj at a banquet organized in honor of Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness and then Neeraj gave him delicious churma.

After eating churma I could not stop myself from writing a letter.

The Prime Minister wrote in the letter, 'Today after eating this churma I could not stop myself from writing a letter to you. Brother Neeraj often talks to me about this churma but today after eating it I became emotional. This gift filled with your immense affection and affinity reminded me of my mother. Mother is the form of power, affection, and dedication. It is a coincidence that I have received this prasad of a mother a day before the Navratri festival. I fast for nine days of Navratri. In a way, this churma of yours has become my main food before my fast.'
