PM Modi US Visit Concludes: Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left for Delhi after concluding his three-day visit to the US. During his three-day visit, PM Modi attended the Quad Leaders Summit and the Summit of the Future (SOTF) at the United Nations in New York. Along with this, he also held some key bilateral meetings during his visit. PM Modi held an important bilateral meeting with US President Joe Biden. Apart from this, he also met with the heads of many other countries including Japan, and Australia.
Meeting with Ukrainian President Zelensky
On the last day of the visit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi met with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky and reiterated India's commitment to an early resolution of the conflict in Ukraine and the restoration of peace and stability in the region. PM Modi met Zelensky on the sidelines of the UN summit in New York on the last leg of his three-day visit to the US.
This was the third meeting between the two leaders in nearly three months. They last met in the Ukrainian capital Kyiv on August 23 during Prime Minister Modi's visit. In June, PM Modi held talks with Zelensky on the sidelines of the G7 summit in Apulia, Italy.
PM Modi said in a post on X-Express. "Met President Zelensky in New York. We are committed to implementing the outcomes of my visit to Ukraine last month to strengthen bilateral ties. Reiterated India's support for an early resolution of the conflict and restoration of peace and stability in Ukraine. The Prime Minister also conveyed that India is ready to provide all possible assistance within its means to facilitate a lasting and peaceful solution to the conflict."
