Pakistan New ODI Captain: On Sunday, the Pakistan team was announced for the tour of Australia and Zimbabwe. For this tour to be held in November, the PCB has also announced the new captain who will replace Babar Azam. The PCB has entrusted this responsibility to wicketkeeper-batsman Mohammad Rizwan while Salman Ali Agha has been made the vice-captain. Babar resigned from the captaincy earlier in the month. Rizwan will lead Pakistan in both T20 and ODI. Along with this, the PCB also released the annual contract list in which only two players Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan have been given place in the A category.

He also reacted about Babar and said that the board did not put any pressure to remove him from the captaincy.

Talking about Pakistan's new white ball cricket captain Mohammad Rizwan, he has played 74 ODIs and 102 T20 matches for Pakistan. In both formats, Rizwan's average is more than 40 which can be called excellent. He has scored at an average of 40.15 in ODIs and 48.72 in T20s. The Australia tour will be played between 4-18 November while the Zimbabwe tour will be played between 24 November and 5 December. Mohammad Rizwan will be available for Australia and Zimbabwe ODIs, but he has been rested from the Zimbabwe T20I.
