Pakistan Team Central Contract : The Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) on Sunday dropped fast bowler Shaheen Shah Afridi from Category A to Category B in the central contract for the 2024-25 season, while senior players Fakhar Zaman, Iftikhar Ahmed, and Osama Mir were not given contracts.

Despite the recent 2-1 series win over England, Test captain Shan Masood remains in B grade. The board has given central contracts to a total of 25 players, while last year's contracts were offered to 27 players.

Like last year, PCB announced the contracts after three months. PCB offered central contracts for the first time to five players Khurram Shahzad, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Ali, Muhammad Irfan Khan, and Usman Khan. They have been placed in D grade. The board has given A-grade contracts to only two players, former captain Babar Azam and Muhammad Rizwan.

The list of centrally contracted players is as follows.

Group A (2) : Babar Azam and Mohammad Rizwan

Group B (3): Naseem Shah, Shaheen Shah Afridi and Shan Masood

Group C (9) : Abdullah Shafique, Abrar Ahmed, Haris Rauf, Noman Ali, Saim Ayub, Sajid Khan, Salman Ali Agha, Saud Shakeel and Shadab Khan

D category (11): Aamir Jamal, Hasibullah, Kamran Ghulam, Khurram Shehzad, Mir Hamza, Mohammad Abbas Afridi, Mohammad Ali, Mohammad Huraira, Mohammad Irfan Khan, Mohammad Wasim Jr and Usman Khan
