Nashik News : The voting process for Maharashtra assembly elections will start on November 20. Before this, the state police is busy checking vehicles at various places in active mode. Before the voting, cash worth Rs 1.98 crore was seized from a hotel in Nashik on November 18. It is being told that the cash found in Nashik belongs to a resident of Anand Nagar, Kopri, Thane. Before Nashik, Maharashtra Police had recovered a bag full of money in Nagpur and several kilos of silver in Mumbai.

1.98 crore cash found in Nashik hotel

The Election Commission and Maharashtra Police had received information about a huge amount of cash in a hotel in Nashik. Based on this information, when the hotel was raided, two bags full of money were found in a room, which had been seized. These bags contained cash worth Rs 1.98 crore. According to a TOI report, the Election Commission informed the IT department about this and all the money has been deposited in the government treasury. The IT department is now investigating the matter further. According to the information, the seizure of Rs 1.98 crore has been done under the guidance of the District Collector and Returning Officer.

A bag full of money was found in Nagpur

Maharashtra Police arrested a man with a bag full of money in Nagpur on November 13. During the investigation, the police found Rs 1.35 crore in the scooter's trunk and Rs 15 lakh in the bag. On November 15, 8,476 kg of silver was seized from a tempo in Mumbai on November 15.
