Quick Commerce Sector: Tata Group is now preparing to enter a new business. This is the fast-growing quick commerce sector, in which players like Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, Zepto, and BigBasket are already present. Tata Group will launch its new service named ' Neu Flash '. Tata Group is preparing to take this step after similar efforts by other big companies like Flipkart and Reliance Industries ( JioMart ). This service will be available to limited users at first, in which a variety of products will be available from grocery items to electronics and fashion items.
Neu Flash Expansion and Partnerships
New Flash plans to expand its services to a larger user base in the coming weeks. The grocery segment of the service will be run by BigBasket, which is moving completely towards an instant commerce model. CROMA will offer electronics and phones, while fashion and lifestyle products will be handled by Tata CLiQ.
Quick Commerce: A rapidly growing sector
Quick commerce is also growing rapidly due to modern retail chains like Reliance Retail, DMart, and Spencer Retail. This is developing consumer platforms and making a wide range of goods available in addition to grocery items within 10-20 minutes.
Currently, the top three players in the sector are Zomato’s Blinkit, Swiggy Instamart, and Zepto, with a combined market share of over 85%.
A cautious approach to quick commerce
Tata Group's entry into quick commerce is particularly interesting because it has ignored consumer incentives. This strategy is in stark contrast to market leaders who are investing heavily to maintain their market share.
For example, Zepto is raising up to $150 million from domestic investors, having previously raised $1 billion in just two months.
