Rahul Gandhi News : Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has been summoned by a Pune court. The court has issued an order to Rahul Gandhi to appear in person on December 2. According to the information, this summons has been issued after a defamation complaint was filed against Rahul Gandhi by Satyaki Savarkar, grandson of Hindutva ideologue Vinayak Damodar Savarkar.
Let us tell you, Satyaki Savarkar had filed a complaint in a Pune court. It claimed that Gandhi had said in his address in London in March 2023 that Savarkar had written in a book that he and his five-six friends had once beaten up a Muslim man and he (Savarkar) was happy. According to the petition, Savarkar has not written this anywhere.
The truth was found in the police investigation.
The court had asked the police to investigate the allegations and file a report. The Vishrambaug police station investigated and said that there was prima facie truth in the complaint. The MP/MLA special court headed by judicial magistrate (first class) Amol Shinde had issued a summons to Gandhi on October 4 and asked him to appear on October 23. However, Gandhi did not appear as it was told that he had not received the summons. Petitioner Satyaki Savarkar's lawyer Sangram Kolhatkar said that he had requested the court on Monday to issue a summons to Gandhi to appear in court.
