Actor Rajesh, famous for his performance in 'Shakti - Astitva Ke Ehsaas Ki', recently made a shocking revelation that he was once caught in the clutches of a kidnapper. He said that the kidnapper kidnapped him for a ransom of 2 crores on the pretext of a fake event. Rajesh Puri said, 'I was shocked when that man told me to go back. This is not right, there is no function and you have been kidnapped. I told him to leave me back because he does not know anything about this area.'

In an interview with Times of India, Rajesh Puri revealed that he was called to Delhi on the pretext of attending an event and was later taken to Meerut in a car. The actor further revealed that Rajesh Puri had received an invitation from someone named Shivam to attend an event in Delhi on September 8. However, upon reaching the capital city, he found out that it was a ploy to trap him, thinking it was an award function that he was to attend as the chief guest.

In the conversation, Rajesh Puri shared about the incident and said that he also received Rs 35,000 from the scammer. Apart from this, the actor also got a return ticket booked for September 9 from Delhi. To make it all look legitimate, the actor was also asked to give some of his photos for the event poster and prepare a speech. The only suspicious thing in the whole incident was that the scammer never sent any official invitation to the actor. Recalling the incident that happened in Delhi, Rajesh Puri said that he was greeted by two people at the Delhi airport. The actor further said, 'They took me in a taxi, and after about an hour they stopped and put my luggage in the car. There was no license plate on the new car and the driver was wearing a mask, which made me suspicious. When I asked him, he claimed that it was a new car, but I felt something was wrong.'
2 crore ransom demanded from Rajesh Puri
Despite the dangerous situation, Rajesh Puri managed to escape safely from the clutches of the kidnappers. Finally, they stopped at a dhaba 12 km away from Meerut where one of them told them the truth and asked them to leave. It was also revealed about the incident that the kidnappers had planned to demand a ransom of Rs 2 crore.
