Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim : On the CBI 's petition filed against the acquittal of Dera Sacha Sauda chief Ram Rahim by the High Court in the murder case, the Supreme Court Chief Justice's bench has issued notice to four people including Ram Rahim. The Chief Justice's bench has sent the matter to Justice Bela Trivedi's bench for further hearing. Let us tell you, in May last year, the Punjab Haryana High Court acquitted Ram Rahim and four other people of the charge of murdering the Dera's former manager Ranjit Singh in the year 2002.
CBI challenged the order in the Supreme Court
Let us tell you, CBI had filed a petition in the Supreme Court against the acquittal of Ram Rahim by the High Court in the murder case. Earlier, Justice Bela Trivedi's bench had issued a notice to Ram Rahim on the petition of a person named Jagseer. In this case, the lower court had convicted Ram Rahim and others and sentenced them to life imprisonment.
