Rules Change From 1 December: The last month of the year 2024, December, has started. The central government makes many changes at the beginning of every month. Due to this, the prices of many things increase, and the prices of some decrease. This has a direct impact on our pocket. Many rules are also going to change from 1 December 2024. These include rules related to LPG, banking, telecom,m, and free Aadhaaupdateste.

1) Change in gas cylinder prices

Oil marketing companies change the prices of LPG gas cylinders on the first of every month. It did the same on 1 December 2024. It has increased the price of commercial gas cylinders. The price of the commercial cylinder in the capital Delhi has now increased from Rs 1802 to Rs 1818.50 per cylinder. In this way, the 19 kg commercial cylinder has become costlier by Rs 16.5.

2) Credit card rules

From December 1, 2024, if you use SBI Credit Card for transactions related to digital gaming platforms/merchants, then new rules are coming into effect from the first of December. According to the SBI Cards website, 48 credit cards will no longer give reward points on transactions related to digital gaming platforms/merchants. Yes, the  Bank will reduce the number of reward points that can be redeemed for flights and hotels. Lounge access rules are also going to change for HDFC Bank Regalia Credit Card users. According to the new rules, from December 1, users will have to spend Rs 1 lakh every quarter to be eligible for lounge access.

3) Will I have to wait for OTP?

Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) is going to implement the traceability rules related to commercial messages and OTP from 1 December 2024. Telecom companies were earlier supposed to implement it by 31 October 2024, but after the demand of many companies, its deadline was extended to 31 November.

Telecom companies can implement this rule of TRAI from December 1. According to the new rule, all messages sent by telecom companies will be traceable. This will help in curbing cases of phishing and spam. It is being said that after the implementation of the new rule, OTP delivery to customers may take time.

4) Free Aadhaar update

If you want to update details like photo, name, address, and gender in your Aadhaar card, then you can do it for free till 14 December 2024. If you have not updated any details in Aadhaar for the last 10 years, then you can still take advantage of this opportunity.

After this, you will have to pay money to get your Aadhaar card details updated. You can update your Aadhaar details for free by visiting My Aadhaar Portal. To update your Aadhaar card details, you may need documents like Voter ID, Ration Card, Address Proof, and Passport.

5) Travelling to the Maldives will become expensive

Traveling to Maldives will become expensive from December, which means you will have to spend more money to visit this archipelago. In December, the fee for economy-class passengers will increase from $30 (Rs 2532) to $50 (Rs 4220). Talking about business class you will have to pay $120 (Rs 10129) instead of $60 (Rs 5064). First-class passengers will have to pay $240 (Rs 20257) instead of $90 (Rs 7597).
