Mumbai: On Tuesday, the police of the city managed to find some key evidence in the Cromwell Saif Ali Khan attack’s probe. This comes right after the Bollywood actor was stabbed by an intruder while in his 12th story apartment at ‘satguru Sharan’ building located in Bandra. The eyewitness reports suggest that a cap which belongs to the suspect has been discovered inside the room of Khan’s son, Jehl.

As for the report from India Today, the hair which was found on the cap is sent to the Forensic Science Laboratory for DNA testing.

The actor’s health has significantly worsened. On Tuesday, when he was being discharged from the hospital, he wore a smile, albeit faint. This is most likely due to the fact that an intruder stabbed him in the neck and spine with a knife five days ago.

The actor who is 54 years old had spinal neurosurgery, as well as removed plastic surgery that was performed on the wounds of the neck, hands during his stay in Lilavati Hospital.

As Khan left the hospital, he waved at the waiting cameras and, while expressing sincere gratitude for their support during his recovery, stated, “Thanks a lot for everything.” His hand was wrapped in a bandage. Khan was also dressed in a while shirt and blue jeans.

Saif, along with Kareena Kapoor Khan, his wife and actor, also left the hospital in a waiting black car with some guards.

The Mumbai police have apprehended the intruder who allegedly attacked the Bollywood actor and tried to stab him. The 30-year-old suspect, performing as Shariful Islam Shehzad Mohammad Rohilla Amin Fakir, is a Bangladeshi and is currently in police custody.

An official stated that the suspect, who was apprehended on Sunday in the neighboring city of Thane, told the police that while being seized by the actor, he stabbed him in the back several times in escape.

According to the officer, after the attack, the suspect fled from Kahn's house and concealed himself within the flower garden of the lounge for over two hours.

“Law enforcement was able to apprehend the accused who fled on foot after attacking Saif as he was in the middle of a discussion with the complainant’s family,” the official remarked.
