The Meteorological Department has issued a red alert for heavy rain in 28 districts of Gujarat and an orange alert in 6 districts on August 27. In such a situation, keeping in mind the safety of the students, the closure of schools in the affected districts may be announced. However, there is no official information in this regard at present. Students and parents are advised to contact the concerned school for any information related to the holiday.

School Closed News: Announcement of school closure

Due to heavy rains in Gujarat, Education Minister Praful Panseria had announced the closure of all primary schools in the state today i.e. on 27th August. This decision was taken to ensure the safety of the students as severe weather conditions prevail in the state. However, no new order has been issued yet to keep the schools closed tomorrow. It is expected that the Education Department may issue a notice in this regard late at night.
