Jaishankar was given a warm welcome at Noor Khan Airport in Islamabad. After this, Foreign Minister Jaishankar also attended the dinner hosted by Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif. Pictures of the meeting of the two leaders have surfaced.

Pakistani Dawn News has shared the pictures of the meeting on social media. During this, Pakistani Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif is seen going forward and shaking hands with S Jaishankar. During this, there was a brief conversation between the two leaders. However, it is not clear what was discussed between the two leaders in a short time.

An Indian minister visits Pakistan after 9 years

Foreign Minister S Jaishankar's visit to Pakistan is considered important in many ways. In fact, due to the tension between the relations of the two countries, this is the first visit of an Indian Foreign Minister to Pakistan after 9 years. In such a situation, the eyes of other countries along with India-Pakistan are also fixed on it. The last Foreign Minister of India to visit Pakistan was Sushma Swaraj. She visited Islamabad in December 2015 to attend a conference on Afghanistan.

There will be no bilateral talks in Pakistan

Even though this is the Indian Foreign Minister's visit to Pakistan after many years, the possibility of bilateral talks between the two countries is negligible. A clarification has already been issued by the Ministry of External Affairs regarding this. At the same time, Foreign Minister S Jaishankar himself had said recently that he is going to Pakistan for a multilateral conference. During this time there will be no bilateral talks with Pakistan. India has already made it clear that until the terrorist incidents across the border are curbed, there will be no talks with Pakistan.
