Sharad Pawar's party NCP-SCP has released another list of candidates for the Maharashtra assembly elections. In this list, former Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh's ticket has been cut and his son Salil Deshmukh has been given a ticket from Katol. The party has nominated Prabhakar Gharge from Mann, Arunadevi Pisal from Wai, and Vaibhav Patil from Khanpur. With this, the party has announced candidates for 83 seats.
9 names in the third list
The NCP-SP released its third list of candidates for nine seats on Sunday. In the previous list, the party had fielded actress Swara Bhaskar's husband Fahad Ahmed from Anushakti Nagar. Ahmed was the state president of the Samajwadi Party's youth wing, but now he has joined the NCP (SP). He will face Ajit Pawar's party NCP's Sana Malik, who is the daughter of former minister Nawab Malik.
Who got the tickets
The NCP-SP has fielded Gyan Patni, son of late BJP MLA Rajendra Patni, from Karanja seat in Washim district. Rajendra Patni, who had won the 2014 and 2019 assembly elections on a BJP ticket, died in February this year. However, his son decided to join the NCP(SP). Atul Wandile has been given tickets from Hinganghat (in Wardha), Ramesh Bang from Hingna (Nagpur), Rahul Kalate from Chinchwad and Ajit Gavhane from Bhosari (both in Pune), Mohan Jagtap from Majalgaon and Rajeshab Deshmukh from Parli (both in Beed) and Siddhi Ramesh Kadam from Mohol seat in Solapur.
