Share Market Today : Due to strong global signals and strong buying in bank shares at the domestic level, the stock market was able to recover from three days of decline today. Sensex saw a rise of 218 points while Nifty saw a jump of 104 points. Sensex, the BSE's benchmark index based on 30 shares, recovered from its initial low levels and closed with a gain of 218.14 points or 0.27% at 81,224.75 points. During the trading, at one time it rose by 384.54 points to reach the level of 81,391.15 points.

The benchmark index Nifty of the National Stock Exchange (NSE) also closed at 24,854.05, up 104.20 points or 0.42% in fluctuating trading. With this, the domestic stock market was able to recover from the decline that had been continuing for three days. Buying by domestic institutional investors played an important role in this. Out of the 30 companies of the Sensex, the stock of Axis Bank jumped by about 6% based on good results in the September quarter. Apart from this, ICICI Bank, Tata Motors, Tata Steel, NTPC, JSW Steel, State Bank of India, and Adani Ports also closed with gains.

On the other hand, shares of the giant information technology (IT) company Infosys fell by more than 4%. Infosys' second-quarter results failed to instill confidence among investors. Infosys has reported a nearly 5% increase in second-quarter net profit. Apart from this, shares of Asian Paints, Nestle, Tech Mahindra, HCL Technologies, Hindustan Unilever, and ITC also closed with a decline.
According to stock market data, foreign institutional investors (FIIs) sold shares worth Rs 7,421.40 crore on Thursday. However, the market was fully supported by DIIs with purchases worth Rs 4,979.83 crore.
Condition of other markets
In other Asian markets, Japan's Nikkei, China's Shanghai Composite, and Hong Kong's Hang Seng were up, while South Korea's Kospi closed with a decline. European markets were trading with gains. Most US markets closed with gains on Thursday. Global oil benchmark Brent crude fell 0.07% to $ 74.40 per barrel. On Thursday, the BSE Sensex fell 494.75 points to 81,006.61 and the NSE Nifty fell 221.45 points to 24,749.85.
