SpiceJet employee salaries: Domestic airline SpiceJet has paid all pending salaries of its employees after getting fresh capital of Rs 3,000 crore. A source gave this information. According to the source, apart from the salaries for July and August of all the employees, the salaries of those employees who were given partial salaries for June have been deposited in their accounts.

The pending salary was paid on Wednesday evening.

A SpiceJet spokesperson confirmed that the pending salaries of employees have been paid. "The pending salaries of employees were paid on Wednesday evening," the spokesperson said on Thursday without giving any details. The airline has not paid provident funds for two and a half years, while it has also not deposited the TDS (tax deducted at source) deducted every month from the salaries of employees with the government.

QIP fundraising plan

The airline had announced on September 23 that it had raised Rs 3,000 crore through qualified institutional placement (QIP) and an additional Rs 736 crore in the previous funding round, further boosting its financial stability and growth plans.
