Prayagraj: After incidents of placing gas cylinders and stones on railway tracks, now an incident of stone pelting on a train has come to light. According to the information, stones were thrown at the Mahabodhi Express train going from New Delhi to Gaya. A stone was thrown at the train near Mirzapur on Monday night around 10:30 pm. One of these stones also hit the guard's brake panel. Some passengers have been injured in the stone pelting incident. On the information of the guard, RPF reached the spot. RPF has registered a case and started investigating the matter. Injured passenger Sujit Kumar, son of Kari Paswan, 20 years, resident of Begusarai, has been injured in the stone pelting. Sujit Kumar said that he was sitting near the window when suddenly stones started being thrown. He has suffered serious injuries to his head and neck. Many other passengers have also suffered serious injuries.

North Central Railway's Chief Public Relations Officer Shashikant Tripathi said that the railway administration has taken this incident seriously and has instructed the RPF to take strict action. North Central Railway Zone's CPRO Shashikant Tripathi has denied the information of heavy stone pelting, calling it false. He said that no one has been detained in this case yet. Only one stone was thrown at the train. That stone hit the brake panel in the guard's cabin.
