Varanasi Delhi Vande Bharat train has been pelted with stones. An unknown person attacked the Vande Bharat train with stones near Kanpur, after which panic spread among the passengers, and the train was also damaged.

According to the information received, the AC chair car coach of train number 22435 Vande Bharat Express going from Varanasi to Delhi was pelted with stones near Panki station in Kanpur. In this incident, a glass of the coach of the Vande Bharat train broke. The stone pelting created panic among the passengers of the coach. After which the driver of the Vande Bharat train informed the control room.

After receiving the information, a case has been registered against unknown stone pelters in RPF Panki. Joint teams of GRP, and RPF have carried out patrolling from Panki to Bhaupur.

The glass of a coach was broken.

According to information received from the railway, Vande Bharat departed from Kanpur Central a little later than the scheduled time. As soon as the train was entering the outer signal of Panki station at 19.05, stone pelting started on the C-7 coach. A stone hit the glass of the C-7 coach and the glass broke. This created panic among the passengers of the coach. Many passengers even bent down from their seats.
