Share Market Closing 12th Sep, 2024: The Indian stock market witnessed a strong rally on Wednesday. The BSE Sensex closed at 82,962.71 points with a gain of 1439.55 points and the Nifty closed at 25,388.90 points with a gain of 470.45 points. Let us tell you that on Tuesday, there was a decline in the domestic stock market. On Tuesday, the Sensex closed at 81,523.16 points with a loss of 398.13 points and the NSE Nifty closed at 24,918.45 points with a decline of 122.65 points.
Shares of 29 out of 30 Sensex companies closed in the green mark
On Wednesday, the shares of 29 out of 30 companies of Sensex closed in the green while only one company's share closed in the red. Similarly, the shares of 49 out of 50 companies of Nifty 50 closed in the green while only 1 company's share closed in the red. Let us tell you that during today's trading, the Sensex touched its new all-time high of 83,116.19 points.
Bumper jump in Bharti Airtel shares
Among the Sensex companies today, Bharti Airtel's shares closed with the highest rise of 3.68 percent. Apart from this, NTPC shares closed with a rise of 3.53 percent, JSW Steel shares 2.96 percent, Mahindra & Mahindra shares 2.92 percent, Adani Ports shares 2.67 percent, Tech Mahindra shares 2.58 percent, Larsen & Toubro shares 2.55 percent, Tata Steel shares 2.53 percent, State Bank of India shares 2.37 percent, Kotak Mahindra Bank shares closed with a rise of 2.25 percent.
Nestle India was the only company to incur a loss
Shares of other Sensex companies - UltraTech Cement, Infosys, Reliance Industries, IndusInd Bank, PowerGrid, Axis Bank, Hindustan Unilever, Titan, Tata Motors, Maruti Suzuki, Bajaj Finserv, HDFC Bank, Bajaj Finance, ITC, HCL Tech, ICICI Bank, Sun Pharma, TCS and Asian Paints also closed in the green. Among the Sensex companies, only Nestle India's shares closed in the red with a marginal decline of 0.09 percent.
