Tata Motors Shares Buy or Not: Brokerage firm DAM Capital has upgraded its rating for Tata Motors from Neutral to BUY. The brokerage expects recovery in the entire auto sector going forward (by FY26) due to favorable macros. It said that after the fall in Tata Motors, its valuation is good at the current price. Notably, Tata Motors stock has dived more than 35 per cent from the peak of Rs 1,179.05 touched on July 30, 2024. During Friday's trading session, Tata Motors shares closed in the green at Rs 750.55.
Tata Motors Share Price Target 2025
The brokerage firm has recommended buying Tata Motors shares with a target price of Rs 870, which implies an increase of 16 per cent from Friday's closing price. DAM Capital said it expects Tata Motors subsidiary Jaguar Land Rover's business to grow at a CAGR of 6.5 per cent during FY25-27.
If there is a recession in the market...
DAM Capital said that in case of a recession, the fair value of Tata Motors is estimated at Rs 675, which shows a decline of 9% from the current market price. That is, in case of a recession, it can fall to Rs 675.
