Internet services shut downOfficials said that given the tension prevailing after the violence, internet services have been shut down in Sambhal tehsil and all schools up to class 12 have been ordered to remain closed on Monday. On the orders of a local court, a survey of Jama Masjid was conducted last Tuesday, after which tension has prevailed in Sambhal for the previous few days. A petition has been filed in the local court claiming that at the place where Jama Masjid is located, there was a Harihar temple earlier.
Three people died
Moradabad Divisional Commissioner Anjaneya Kumar Singh while talking to reporters in Sambhal said that there were two to three groups of miscreants who were continuously firing and the police administration evacuated the survey team safely. Singh said that three people aged between 20 and 25 years have died in this violence. The Divisional Commissioner said that a total of 20 people have been injured in this violence, firing, and stone pelting. In the incident, Public Relations Officer (PRO) of Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Kumar was shot in the leg while Deputy District Magistrate Ramesh Chandra's leg bone was broken. Apart from this, Sambhal Police Circle Officer Anuj Kumar has also been hit by pellets.

District Magistrate Rajendra Persia told reporters that there was no stone pelting for the first two hours of the survey and later it was announced from the mosque that the survey work was completed. He said that after this, people living in the surrounding area of several kilometers reached the spot in large numbers, and heavy stone pelting and firing started. He said that no one who instigated the mob and conspired for violence would be spared. Earlier, an official said that some people also tried to set fire to the motorcycles parked on the roadside. The official said that a case will be registered against the accused of violence under the stringent National Security Act (NSA).
