Nalanda: Unknown criminals shot dead the Mukhiya of Aat Gram Panchayat in the Ben police station area of ​​the district. The deceased is also said to be a block-level JDU leader. According to the police, bike-riding criminals shot dead Karu Tanti (72), the current Mukhiya of Aat Panchayat of Ben block, as soon as he came out of his house on Thursday. After committing the crime, the three miscreants on the bike fled away.

A police officer said that the Mukhiya fell on the ground after being shot. He was immediately rushed to a private hospital in Bihar Sharif for treatment, where doctors declared him dead. Ben police station in-charge Raju Ranjan Kumar said that the Mukhiya was coming out of the house when the criminals shot him from behind and fled.
