The new export policy will be for 2025-30, which will replace the current 5-year policy. The state government is also helping the exporters in every possible way along with giving them many incentives to increase exports from the state.

Uttar Pradesh's Minister for Industrial Development, Export Promotion, NRI and Investment Promotion Nand Gopal Gupta 'Nandi' said the state government is working on the 2025-30 export policy, which will focus on enhancing export capabilities to boost overall development. In an email interview to Bhasha, he said the new export policy is being prepared with the target of increasing the state's share from 4.71 per cent in 2023-24 to 7.5 per cent. Gupta also said that 'One District One Product Scheme' has played an important role in providing employment and enhancing the skills of traditional artisans engaged in various traditional arts of different districts.

The state government is providing 'toolkits' along with training the artisans to upgrade their skills so that they can set up their own enterprises. Gupta said that since the launch of the scheme, the government has trained 1,33,472 artisans across the state. The scheme was launched in January 2018 with the aim of promoting traditional arts and crafts prevalent in different districts by identifying district-specific products for all 75 districts of Uttar Pradesh.
