The Yogi Adityanath government of Uttar Pradesh has decided to launch a special campaign to prevent seasonal diseases during the rainy season. This campaign will not only be run in council schools, but special efforts are also being made at the panchayat level to make parents aware. The Yogi government has taken this step given the possibility of diseases spreading due to waterlogging around the population due to excessive rainfall.

During the rainy season, there is a possibility of waterlogging in many areas of villages and cities. In such a situation, the risk of dengue, malaria, and other seasonal diseases may increase. Keeping this in mind, the Yogi government has taken special steps in council schools to protect children from these diseases. In this, children are being encouraged to come to school wearing full-sleeve clothes and special campaigns are being run for the cleanliness of school premises and prevention of waterlogging.

Steps being taken to prevent seasonal diseases

During the rainy season, due to waterlogging, mosquitoes breed, and the risk to children's health increases. Keeping this in mind, on the instructions of the Yogi government's Minister of State for Basic Education, Sandeep Singh, various steps have been taken to protect students from these diseases. Not only this, efforts have also been made to provide immediate medical assistance if any child shows symptoms of fever or headache.

Teacher-Parent Awareness Campaign

Parents are being made aware of the dangers of dengue and other diseases through school management committees and teacher-parent meetings. They are also being explained that it is important to send children to school wearing full-sleeved clothes.

The solution to the waterlogging problem

The Yogi government has instructed all block education officers and headmasters to immediately arrange for drainage and spray anti-mosquito medicines in case of waterlogging on the school premises.

Fogging and cleaning system

Under the direction of Minister of State for Basic Education Sandeep Singh, special arrangements have been made for fogging and cleanliness in school premises. Special arrangements have also been made to prevent water from accumulating in school pots, tires, and bottles. Instructions have also been given to coordinate with local bodies for fogging to avoid mosquitoes.

Emphasis on community support

Parents are being made aware with the help of Panchayat, Asha workers, Anganwadi workers, and other social organizations. Here, by organizing meetings at the Panchayat level, parents, especially mothers, are being motivated to cooperate in these efforts. Emphasis is being laid on motivating them to send their children to school after making full arrangements for their safety.
