In the new district, Vijay Kiran Anand is the DM, and Rajesh Dwivedi has been made the SSP. Under the Indian Civil Security Code 2023 and other relevant sections, the District Collector of Mahakumbh Nagar will have all the powers of Executive Magistrate, District Magistrate,e, and Additional District Magistrate as well as District Magistrate under any other law for the time being (in force) under the said Code.

According to the notification, 25 villages of Tehsil Sadar, 3 villages of Tehsil Soraon, 20 villages of Tehsil Phulp, ur and 19 villages of Karchana Tehsil have been included.
