Under-19 Women's Asia Cup , Team India Squad : Nikki Prasad will lead the 15-member Indian women's team selected for the first Under-19 Women's Asia Cup to be held in Kuala Lumpur, the capital of Malaysia, while Sanika Chalke has been made the vice-captain. India will begin its campaign against arch-rival Pakistan on December 15.
Shabnam Shakeel has also been included in the Indian women's Under-19 team, who has also been a part of the Under-19 World Cup winning team in 2023. Along with Shabnam, Sonam Yadav and G Trisha were also members of the Indian World Cup winning team.
A total of six teams, including host Malaysia, are participating in this tournament, which have been divided into two groups. The Indian Under-19 women's team is in Group A where they are accompanied by Pakistan Under-19 and Nepal Under-19 women's teams, while Group B includes Bangladesh Under-19, Sri Lanka Under-19 and Malaysia Under-19 women's teams. All the matches of the tournament will be played at the Bayumus Cricket Oval ground in Kuala Lumpur.
Out of the six teams, four teams will enter the Super-4 and their points and net run rate will be carried forward to the next round. On the basis of which, the two best teams of the Super-4 will clash for the title on December 22. All the matches will be played from 11:30 am Indian time.
