Rahul Dravid meets Rohit Virat Pant: Former India head coach Rahul Dravid was spotted chatting with India captain Rohit Sharma, Virat Kohli, and Rishabh Pant ahead of the first Test against New Zealand in Bengaluru. He arrived for the Indian team's practice session at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium. The same ground will host the first Test match between India and New Zealand.
The three-Test series against New Zealand will begin in Bengaluru on October 16. The second Test is scheduled to be played in Pune on October 24 and the third Test in Mumbai on November 1. Dravid, Rohit, Kohli, and Pant were seen sharing a laugh when the T20 World Cup-winning team came together during a practice session.
Dravid's glorious tenure
In November 2021, Dravid was appointed as the head coach of the Indian senior men's cricket team, replacing former Indian cricketer Ravi Shastri. Under his guidance, India reached the semi-finals of the 2022 T20 World Cup, the final of the 2023 World Test Championship and the ODI World Cup, and won the 2024 T20 World Cup in June. The T20 World Cup was Dravid's last assignment as head coach and he declined an extension after serving in the position for over two years.

Dravid joins Rajasthan Royals.
Now, Dravid has been announced as the new head coach of Rajasthan Royals for a multi-year tenure and he said it is the "ideal time" to "take on another challenge" after leading India to the T20 World Cup title. The coaching role with Rajasthan will be crucial, especially with the mega auction scheduled in two months, where retentions and releases will reflect Dravid's game plan with the franchise.
