Former Indian Captain Virat Kohli was last a part of the Ranji Trophy over a decade ago and he is likely to make a return after being included in cream of the crop Delhi’s squad alongside Rishabh pant and Harshit Rana for the tournament. Kohli was being lauded in yesterday’s match and the rumors suggest that he has made up his mind on taking part in matches against Jharkhand.

Head coach of India, Gautam Gambhir is inclined on having his players play in the domestic circles more often and help them gain more experience, this came about during the last BCCI review meeting where the Board instructed their players on improving their domestic career.

Kohli will hopefully get a chance to take part in one match of the series against England before getting a well earned break, Delhi's plan to go head to head with Saurashtra from the 23rd to the 26th of January and Railways, the 30th of January and February 2nd will surely help Kohli as the ODI series against England will commence on February 6th.

An official announcement on the involvement of Virat should be available in the next few days. He had a rough time on the Australia tour as he only managed to make 190 runs in 5 matches. He started the series well with a century in Perth.

Rohit Sharma to come out for Mumbai?

Anyway, no comments are made official but there is a good chance that Rohit Sharma will be in the squad for Mumbai in their next Ranji Trophy match against Jammu and Kashmir. His last Ranji Trophy match was in 2015.

He made a comeback for the Mumbai Team in the Vijay Hazare Trophy in the year 2018. Due to his commitments with the Indian team, he did not make it to the finals of the List A Tournaments.Interestingly Mumbai won the title defeating Delhi. Ajinkya Rahane and Shreyas Iyer are likely to play for Mumbai in the Ranji Trophy.
