After being invited to bat first, Seiver Brunt scored 57 runs with the help of five fours in an unbeaten innings of 50 balls for England. Knight hit superb fours against Fletcher and Dottin while Sever Brunt hit fours against Ashmini Munisar and Alia Allen. However, Knight left the field in the 13th over due to a muscle strain. At that time, the team's score was 79 runs for three wickets.

Sever Brunt completed her half-century in 45 balls by hitting two fours against Allen in the 18th over.
