New Delhi: Smriti Mandhana, Ellyse Perry, Shefali Verma, Meg Lanning, and Harmanpreet Kaur are some of the big names retained by their franchises for the next season of the Women's Premier League (WPL) cricket tournament. Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) on Thursday announced the retention of 14 players, including six foreign players. Captain Smriti, star batsman Perry, and wicketkeeper Richa Ghosh have been retained by the WPL champions.
Apart from Shefali, Delhi Capitals have retained players like Jemima Rodrigues, Radha Yadav,, and Arundhati Reddy. Among the foreign players, the team has retained Lanning, South Africa's Marijen Cap, Jess Jonassen, Alice Capsey, and Annabel Sutherland. Mumbai Indians have retained 14 players before WPL 2025. Mumbai has retained players like Captain Harmanpreet, Nat Sciver Brunt, Hayley Matthews, Sajna Sajeevan, and Seika Ishak.
