WTC Points Table: Pakistan has slipped to eighth place in the World Test Championship (WTC) table after a 10-wicket defeat in the first Test cricket match played against Bangladesh in Rawalpindi and a subsequent penalty for slow over rate. Pakistan is in eighth place with 16 points after six matches and a win percentage of 22.22. It is only ahead of the West Indies.

Bangladesh, which registered its first win against Pakistan in the match that ended on Sunday, is in seventh place with 21 points. It has won two of its five matches so far. The situation has become more disappointing for Pakistan due to maintaining a slow over rate in the first Test. It bowled six overs less than the stipulated time and lost six WTC points due to this.

Bangladesh also bowled three overs less than the scheduled time and due to this they lost three points. The second test match between Pakistan and Bangladesh will be played in Rawalpindi from Friday. India is at the top of the WTC table with 74 points and a win percentage of 68.52 after winning six matches in nine.

Second match from 30 August

The second and last match of the two-Test series between Pakistan and Bangladesh will start on August 30. This match will be played at Rawalpindi Stadium in Rawalpindi from 10.30 am. This match is more important for the Pakistan team than Bangladesh. Pakistan had to face defeat against Bangladesh in the first Test match of the series.
