The story of Ganesha is as follows... An old woman lived in a town who used to make a Ganesha idol out of clay and worship it every day. Being a clay idol, it used to melt every day. One day a Seth's house was being built near her house. She went to the mason who was building the house and said that make a stone Ganesha idol for me. But the mason said that we will spend that much money to make your idol, so we cannot build our wall. The old woman said that may God make your wall crooked. As soon as she said this, the wall became crooked.
After this, it was evening while the workers building the wall. But every time they built the wall, it became crooked. After this Seth Ji came. He saw that the wall was not built. He asked the workers why they did not do any work today. Then a mason said that an old woman had come. She was asking to make a stone statue of Lord Ganesha. We refused. Seth Ji called the old woman and said that mother, we will bring a gold statue of Ganesha for you, just straighten our wall.
